What is the Restoration Academy?

The Restoration Academy is a tailor-made and engaging workshop format that enables restoration implementers to contribute to and benefit from the United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (UN Decade) and regional initiatives like the AFR100.

The UN Decade (2021-2023) and its global movement #GenerationRestoration aim to prevent, halt and reverse the degradation of our ecosystems around the world until 2030 – to improve people's livelihoods, combat climate change and halt the loss of biodiversity.

The Restoration Academy will cover a range of topics crucial to the success of ecosystem restoration and FLR including communication, networking, sharing of best practices, gender, monitoring and access to funding. As a participant you will receive customized training and benefit from knowledge sharing and peer-to-peer learning in a diverse and interactive learning environment.

So far, Restoration Academies have been successfully implemented among others in El Salvador, Togo, Rwanda and Nigeria.
