The Asia Pacific Forestry Commission is a policy and technical forum for the countries of Asia and the Pacific to address the most pressing forest issues in the region. It also provides advice to the FAO forestry programme, as one of six regional forestry commissions of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. Forest and landscape restoration, building resilience to climate change and biodiversity will be high on the agenda.
The Commission meets every two years to review progress and set new agendas.
