Co-hosted by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the High-level Experts and Leaders Panel on Water and Disasters (HELP), this special event will discuss the importance of conservation and sustainable development of the lakes and reservoirs. It also aims to discuss global collaboration towards enhancing the implementation of the SDGs target regarding lakes as water related ecosystems, the UNEA Resolution on Sustainable Lake Management, and other relevant global agreements/agenda. 

Speakers will include H.E. Dr. Han Seung-soo (Chair of HELP, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea/ President of the 56th Session of the UN General Assembly, H.E Prof. Dr. Siti Nurbaya Bakar. (Minister of Environment and Forestry, Republic of Indonesia) and other high-level representatives.
