The Good to Nature Rainforest Festival launched by Good to Nature, aims to raise urban citizens’ awareness of the importance of rainforests, and encourage public participation in rainforest restoration and protection. In celebration of the World Rainforest Day, the Festival will showcase world rainforests and restoration initiatives to the Chinese public, as well as demonstrate China’s rainforests and restoration actions to the world.
During the Festival, Good to Nature will bring the “rainforest” into a century-old Shikumen historical building in Shanghai, exposing audience to the charm of the rainforest up close without leaving the city. A group of rainforest restoration experts from around the world will gather to share their restoration initiatives and lead urban citizens, who are far from the rainforest, to gain a deeper understanding of the essence of rainforests.
Moreover, the Festival is also an interdisciplinary social experiment. Good to Nature will invite leaders from various fields such as sustainable communication, corporate ESG, education, and fashion to explore how rainforests can break through geographical distances, to reach the urban public, and result in practical projects.
The Festival celebrates restoration culture through rainforest knowledge lectures, world rainforest exhibitions and multidisciplinary discussions on popularizing ecosystem knowledge, in order to raise public awareness of ecosystem restoration and encourage them to join the #Generation Restoration movement.
