Forests Ontario, together with our national division Forest Recovery Canada, facilitates the planting of millions of trees across Canada. As of October 2023, we have created more than 21,500 hectares of new forests through the planting of 43 million trees. We have also created, managed, and enhanced more than 1,200 hectares of grassland ecosystems in Ontario. With our community and awareness initiatives, our 2024 Annual Conference will continue to bring together partners, landowners, industry, government, and youth working towards the restoration of Ontario‘s forests and grasslands.
Forests Ontario’s 2024 Conference will highlight opportunities, best management practices and new ideas for conserving and nurturing healthy ecosystems through smart, proactive maintenance and management processes. Additionally, the event will bring together ideas on how we can contribute to the well-being of communities, meeting the needs of current and future generations, and natural habitats across the country and worldwide.
