In the face of growing environmental challenges, the need for sustainable land management has become more urgent than ever. Ecosystems across the globe are under increasing pressure from human activity , climate change, and resource depletion. Sustainable land use practices, which restore degraded landscapes and protect biodiversity, are essential  to address these crises.

However, many businesses and organizations working in restoration and sustainable land use face significant financial barriers. Traditional business models often fail to capture the full value of ecosystem services, and many restoration projects struggle to generate sufficient revenue to scale or sustain their operations.

Governments, non governmental organizations (NGOs) , and businesses alike are recognizing the potential for new revenue streams through innovative business models. Direct and indirect revenue methods- from agricultural product sales to carbon credits and ecosystem service payments- offer promising avenues to support sustainable practices while ensuring financial viability.
