It is necessary to use the plural to express the Brazilian reality: there are seven biomes, and in them there are biocultural corridors that interconnect each other in an immense web of life, drawing a rich mosaic marked by diversity and complementarity. As highlighted in the seven volumes of this Collection, in all biomes and their biocultural corridors, confrontations are being fought between those who live in harmony with Nature, against those who perceive Nature only as resources to be exploited to serve the economic system.

The Biocultural Corridors of Brazil Collection is an initiative of the Luciano Mendes de Almeida National Observatory of Socio-Environmental Justice (OLMA) and the Forum on Climate Change and Socio-Environmental Justice (FMCJS), supported by dozens of organizations, collectives and leaders who illustrate in this material the main challenges and the main strategies for the defense and promotion of life in each biome.
