The climate crisis is already impacting every corner of the Earth – and it’s taking a heavy toll on rural communities dependent on natural resources for their livelihoods. It’s time for a new vision.
This session will discuss how smallholder farmers can contribute to deforestation-free supply chains. Speakers from Malawi, Rwanda and Kenya will share their grassroots expertise, visuals, and perspectives on how to support smallholder farmers to leverage nature-based solutions on their farms and integrate them into profitable business models. They will also examine tree nurseries as a restoration business model, as well as share practical examples and best practices they have developed at the community level. Find more information here.
