The Endangered Landscapes Programme has recently opened a call for expressions of interest for funding of up to US$100,000 for Landscape Restoration Planning Grants (in Europe). More information is available from this form and the accompanying guidance document.
Restoring biodiversity and natural ecosystem processes at a landscape scale is complex and challenging. Engaging diverse stakeholders so that they come together behind a shared vision, dealing with varied and fragmented land tenure, and the need for scientific evidence to support policy change, are just some of the challenges that may present barriers to the development of new initiatives.
The purpose of Planning Grants is to support work that will catalyse the development of landscape restoration initiatives across Europe. Funding could support the work needed to build alliances, develop a shared vision, establish baselines for biodiversity, review policies, prepare landscape restoration plans, and/or draft funding proposals.
Eligibility and criteria are described in the Guidance for Applicants document: Endangered Landscapes Programme EoI Guidance.pdf. If you have any questions about completing or submitting the form, please email [email protected].
The deadline for submissions is 00.00 GMT on the 3rd of February 2023.
The Endangered Landscapes Programme is a partnership between the Cambridge Conservation Initiative and Arcadia, a charitable fund of Lisbet Rausing and Peter Baldwin.
