There is accelerating momentum for forest and landscape restoration (FLR) approaches for strengthening livelihoods, food security, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and enabling on-the-ground implementation of the SDGs, the Global Forest Goals, the Bonn Challenge and the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration. A Regional Strategy and Action Plan for FLR in Asia-Pacific has been endorsed by various countries in the region. However, there is a clear need to connect restoration projects with investors if FLR efforts are to be up-scaled and replicated across the region. Although sufficient funds exist, donors and investors often struggle to find suitable projects to invest in that contribute to multiple benefits for people and the environment. Meanwhile, project developers, implementers and other actors of change struggle with identifying and communicating with possible funders. This online webinar will present several online platforms that visualize and connect FLR projects with possible investors. All project owners and developers working with FLR in Asia and the Pacific are welcome to learn more about these platforms and discuss their different advantages and possibilities to make a well-informed decision on which platform best fits their project and interests.
