Women Ocean Guardians: a public-private partnership for achieving an inclusive 30x30

This panel discussion, involving community partners, government representatives, UN Agencies, funders and NGOs, will explore how mainstreaming gender equity and social inclusion can help accelerate the achievement of the GBF targets. The panel will feature and build momentum for Las Guardianas del Océano Call to Action, co-developed by 25 coastal women leaders from 11 countries around the Americas Caribbean, calling for recognition of their roles, rights, and responsibilities as leaders in marine conservation and the blue economy.

Mountains to Mangroves: The power and potential of large-scale protection & restoration in the Eastern Himalayas

Conservation International and partners will host a panel discussion featuring highlights form ambitious reforestation work now underway across Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh and northeast India. Hear first-hand from Mountains to Mangroves project leaders about their shared vision to amplify the initiative's newly launched storytelling campaign and hear form a new community of local storytellers - spanning languages and cultures- using their unique voices as stewards of the forests they call home. This panel session will culminate in a presentation of the path forward for Conservation International's vital work supporting the Eastern Himalayas, complete with a call-to action catalyzing  urgent finance and support needed for the safeguarding of this critical region.

A Strategic Corridor for Life: Colombia Unveils New Andean - Amazon Biodiversity Management Plan

This event will position the HYLEA Program as a benchmark for implementing the Global Biodiversity Framework in the Andean Amazon. It will highlight the impact of the HYLEA Program and the Andean- Amazon Biodiversity Management Plan by showcasing successes, identifying opportunities, and emphasizing their crucial role in preserving one of the most biodiverse regions in the Americas.
