Apply here till Q2 2025 to make your urban infrastructure projects a reality. There will be two cohorts to be assessed for CFF's final portfolio. First to be assessed by mid-February 2025 and second by end of Q2 in 2025 (tbc).
On 16 November 2024, the C40 Cities Finance Facility opened its application portal. Cities can apply for support from the CFF to develop finance-ready projects to reduce emissions and strengthen resilience against the impacts of a warming climate.
CFF provides technical assistance, capacity development and access to sector experts in order to plan and implement urban infrastructure projects that improve the lives of residents with large scale, measurable impact. Key action areas include: nature-based solutions, energy and buildings, mobility, water and waste.
To apply you must be a representative of a city government or municipal agency. In this funding phase applications are open to both C40 cities and non-C40 cities in ODA-recipient countries. The CFF team will be available to support your city throughout the application window.

The selection process is competitive, with three stages of assessment:
- Application via the application portal
- Eligibility screening and project analysis
- Further in-city assessment
