The UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration conducts a workshop aiming to highlight the pivotal role of ecosystem restoration reflecting extraordinary examples by recently announced 7 New UN World Restoration Flagships in addressing global environmental challenges. This event serves as a platform for showcasing the achievements and success stories of these initiatives, focusing on knowledge sharing and collaboration to advance the implementation of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration and synergize with both nature and climate agendas.
This workshop will provide a unique opportunity for knowledge exchange and networking, to engage, collaborate, and learn from the success stories of ecosystem restoration initiatives under the UN Decade. It will emphasize the importance of ecosystem restoration as a critical component of addressing climate change, conserving biodiversity, and achieving sustainable development goals. In addition, through discussions, and partnership opportunities, participants will gain insights into the UN Decade's contributions to global restoration efforts and its potential for scaling up these actions worldwide.
The workshop will inspire and mobilize individuals, organizations, and governments to join the movement #GenerationRestoration and contribute to a more sustainable and resilient future for our planet.
